Sea of Time OOC

This is not the world that we have all come to know and love. This is a mere mix of times and places across the world and across time all mixed into a world we shall call Sea of Time. The Sea of Time is an ocean that has islands that represent places from all around the world and across time. The lands here are, for the most part, peaceful, though military seems to be ever-present for all of them.



Your character, whoever they may be, is free to travel between the islands, if they have a boat, of course. The classes below should give you a fairly broad selection of characters to choose from. Whether you want to be a rebel, soldier, leader, or any combination of the above, it’s all up to you. Of course, due to the clashing nature of most of these groups, there is to be much conflict.



Rules:

1. No godmoding. I will be very… unhappy….

2. No evil word attacks on people. Banter is ok, and I’ll even accept the occasional curse, if it’s tasteful.

3. Attempt to keep up with the RP. If you are going to have trouble keeping up with posting, let the other person know.

4. Limit the cross technology stuff. I don’t want to see EVERY character with a gun, or a kantana, and so on. The idea is to keep to the times. If there is a reason for it, I might allow it.

5. Weapons are rather simple. Guns, for example, are the flintlock type, one shot before reload, etc.

6. Heavy weapons, especially the likes of a mace, etc, can bend/break smaller, thinner weapons. This is to say that if you continually block a weapon like that, yours is likely to break. If you want to be fairer about this, use the dice system.

7. I realize that this is slightly vague, but it is kinda meant to be something that you can let your mind create in. It’s not very restrictive in order to allow for interesting scenarios. If you have advice, ideas, comments, concerns, let me know, and I’ll see what I can do.

Here's my entry, hopefully he fits. And yes, I did use Albhed for his name and what he speaks. It just fit better than making up stuff like "Running wolf" in my opinion.

Name: Lnywo Chyga (crazy snake)
Age: 23
Race: Native Islander (Much like a native American, just with a different language set.)
Occupation: Hunter/Warrior/Loner

Personality: Only speaking ‘English” when needed, he usually uses his very own language that he crafted from observing other tribes, taking some from each and forming his own semi-universal tribe language. He is cold, cruel and cunning. He wants to kill any white man or woman he meets because they drove his family from their land, and he was one of only a few to stay and fight. Which in turn got him kicked from his tribe, yet he holds no hate towards his former tribe, he knew it would happen when he chose to stay and fight. He is never one to be fooled by a woman’s attractive features. He would never mate with a white woman, and now that no tribe will have him, he can’t be with any woman. He is a loner and he acts as such. In battle he is wild and crazy, yet extremely focused. He uses his wild actions and such to scare or distract his foe.

Description:

Height: 6’0”

Weight: 170lbs and muscular yet slender.

His buckskins are worn, but clean, mended in a few spots. Very few beads are attached to the fringe on his ankle-length leggings. His long-sleeved tunic has only a few beads as well, possibly given to him by a family member. His hair, which he wears in a tall stiff Mohawk, is kept clean and glistens a blue-black in the sun. His face is lean and hard, like the rest of his body. Perfect for stealth and strength. He is a perfect assassin and killing machine. His eyes, so dark that they are nearly black, burn with a desire to kill all white men.

Equipment: All of the blades he has come from knives he’s stolen from white men he killed. He removed their handles and formed his own from bone or stag horn.

Miscellaneous:

He has saddle bags and different sorts of holsters and straps to hold various items he uses, on his horse.
He often keeps a few backup knives in the bags, as well as his spear.

He keeps a tent in a bag on his horse, because he is constantly moving. He also has a small bag of gunpowder that he takes and refills when he kills someone that has gunpowder. He keeps two pieces of flint in a pocket so he can start a fire when he needs to. He keeps some peyote and tobacco in a pouch in a pocket, he also keeps a small pipe to smoke it with.

History: Chyga was born into one of the smaller tribes of natives of the island, much like some of the native Americans that lived in America before settlers disrupted them. His father was the chief of the tribe, so Chyga was destined to be strong and brave. By his teens, Chyga was one of the best hunters for his tribe, bringing home buffalo, deer, and other animals for food. In this time he’d become a very good tracker as well, being able to track animals and people through even the harshest of conditions.

By the time Chyga was 20, his tribe had started warring against white man, those who came to take the Native’s land. Chyga was a warrior that fought alongside his fellow tribesmen. After a year of battles, Chyga’s tribe was dwindling and they had no choice but to surrender their land and move on. Chyga however would not accept this treaty, and for his actions, he was cast out of the tribe.

Living on his own for a year, Chyga would move from area to area, making camp,, setting traps, and doing whatever he could to kill more and more white men. He’d hide along trails, in the trees, and ambush men as they traveled passed him. Using his bow, his knifes, or his bear hands, Chyga would kill each one, then take what possessions they had that were of use to him. He would always do this, then move, making it so no one could ever find him. Being a hunter and a tracker, he could make it so no one could follow him.

Chyga lives today, traveling from place to place, no fear, no bad feelings towards his tribe; only hate for the white man. When he isn't hunting or killing, he's training his mind and body.
